Saving the installer does not run it. Open your browser’s downloads or your Downloads folder and launch the file. Check whether a permission dialog is waiting behind another window. Use the vendor’s current instructions if installation reports a specific error.
An existing antivirus app is installed
Avast’s installation guidance asks you to remove other antivirus applications before installing its antivirus product. Plan the change, keep your subscription details and follow the existing vendor’s removal instructions. Do not leave a device without active protection after the transition.
